ⓘ  For screening purposes only. A high IDRS score does not diagnose diabetes. The IDRS is a validated screening tool for identifying individuals at high risk of undiagnosed Type 2 diabetes in the Indian population (Mohan V et al., Diabetes Care 2005;28:2435–2440; Sensitivity 72.5%, Specificity 60.1%, AUC 0.698 at score ≥60). Diagnosis of diabetes requires confirmation with fasting glucose, HbA1c or OGTT. This tool is not a substitute for clinical evaluation.
