My health Journey

Obesity Coach

Although I don’t have diabetes or pre-diabetes today, there was a time, not long ago, when I was pre-diabetic. Alongside I was also overweight. And these were the result of my own choices. I led a horrible lifestyle, and I ate crap most of the time.

Although I was a vegetarian, and though I did eat organic food, I did continue to consume a ton of junk food. And I justified it as a once-in-a-while cheating that’s allowed in most diets.

And the result was predictable: I was overweight and my blood glucose was always high.

And the result of these was that I was always sick with something or another. One week I had a bout of sinus, the other I was down with some neck pain or back pain, and the third week I was crying due to mouth ulcers.

However, I was always brushing these as minor ailments, and as a natural consequence of aging.

The push came to shove when I was hit with psoriasis.

That forced me to take some concrete steps.

I was forced to give a hard look at every aspect of my life. I removed most stressors. I gave up most obesogens. I changed my diet and my lifestyle.

In spite of all these, it took 20 years to detoxify my body to a reasonable degree, but the good news is: today twenty years later I stand totally free from psoriasis.

Besides, today I also have much more stable blood glucose levels as well as a weight that I believe is closer to ideal.

This blog is a means to share my weight loss journey with others, hoping that it might just benefit someone.

Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, had described the body’s ability to heal itself, which he called veriditas (green life force). He believed that the physician’s job was to identify which forces were keeping the patient from healing himself and then remove them.
